Geddes Jones Paulsen. 25 years old, born and raised on the island of Nantucket, MA. I have been tattooing since 2010. I began at a street shop on the West side of Chicago, I stayed there only briefly, realizing I could flourish in a more creative environment than that shop had to offer. I went off on my own, coming back east and traveling throughout New England and Upstate NY. I settled down in Kingston in 2011 working at a couple local shops, as well as having my own studio. This fall I will be moving to Brooklyn to better pursue my career as a tattooer. It doesn’t get any better than Brooklyn when it comes to professional tattooing. I have been making art for as long as I can remember and am fortunate enough to have parents who are also both painters, which heavily influenced me to create as a youth and has carried me into a career in art-making. I am currently working at developing a unique style that combines surrealism with traditional american folk and tattoo art. I am influenced heavily by Outsider art, graffiti, Surrealism and many contemporary tattooers such as Matt Bivetto, Thomas Hooper, D. Albrigo and many, many others. Eager to learn and work with other great artists.
